Where’s Your Head At (WYHA)
Supporting young people and adults up to 25 within the youth and criminal justice system is crucial for breaking cycles of disadvantage and giving them a second chance at building a positive future. At Vibe Youth, we place a strong emphasis on the power of lived experience—and have firsthand knowledge of the challenges these young people face, allowing for genuine, empathetic support. By providing tailored guidance, emotional resilience training, and practical skills development, we help young people navigate the complexities of the criminal justice system, empowering them to make positive life changes and reintegrate into society with confidence and hope.
The Where’s Your Head At project introduces young people and adults who are involved within the youth and criminal justice system to the concept of NLP. Neuro-Linguistic Programming is an approach to communication, personal development, and psychotherapy, which helps individuals understand their own minds, how they came to think and behave the way they do, and how to modify their thoughts and behaviours to achieve desired outcomes. Key aspects of the project are:
- Understanding NLP- Participants will learn the basics of NLP, including its principles, techniques, and applications in daily life.
- Personal Development- The project focuses on using NLP techniques for personal development such as achieving goals, improving communication skills, and enhancing self-confidence.
- Practical Exercises- Participants will engage in practical exercises to apply NLP techniques in real life scenario, helping them to better understand and control their thoughts and behaviours.
- Mentorship- Experienced NLP practitioners will guide participants throughout the project, providing valuable insight and feedback.
- Peer Interaction- The project provides a platform for participants to share their experiences and learn from each other in a supportive and collaborative environment.
The goal of the Where’s Your Head At Project is empower individuals through Neuro-Linguistic Programming and to equip particpants with the tools and techniques of NLP, enabling them to achieve their potential and make positive changes in their lives.
