Where’s Your Head At (WYHA)
Where’s Your Head At? – A VIBE Youth Initiative
At VIBE Youth, we believe that supporting young people and young adults particularly those involved in the youth and criminal justice system is essential to breaking cycles of disadvantage and unlocking positive futures. Our Where’s Your Head At project takes a bold and innovative approach by combining the power of lived experience with Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) to create a transformative journey of self-discovery, empowerment, and growth.
We know the challenges faced by those navigating complex systems, because we’ve lived them. That authenticity allows us to offer genuine, empathetic, and effective support. Through emotional resilience training, skills development, and mindset coaching, this project helps individuals reclaim agency over their lives and envision a future filled with hope, possibility, and direction.
Project Overview:
Where’s Your Head At introduces participants to NLP an approach to understanding how we think, communicate, and behave. Through structured workshops and guided exploration, participants learn how to shift limiting beliefs, reframe past experiences, and adopt strategies for personal and emotional growth.
Key components include:
🔹 Foundations of NLP
Participants explore the core principles and techniques of NLP, gaining insight into how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours are formed and how to reshape them for better outcomes.
🔹 Personal Empowerment
Using NLP tools, individuals work on goal setting, communication, emotional regulation, and confidence building critical skills for those rebuilding their lives.
🔹 Practical Application
Hands-on exercises and real-life scenarios help participants apply their learning in ways that are relevant and empowering, both inside and outside the justice system.
🔹 Mentorship & Guidance
Our experienced NLP practitioners and mentors walk alongside each participant, offering personalised support, feedback, and encouragement throughout the programme.
🔹 Peer-Led Connection
Group-based sessions foster community and shared understanding, where participants learn from each other’s lived experiences in a safe, supportive environment.
Our Mission:
Where’s Your Head At is more than a programme it’s a mindset shift. By equipping young people and adults with the tools and techniques of NLP, we aim to reduce reoffending, enhance wellbeing, and build pathways toward positive contribution and reintegration into society.
Through this work, we’re not just asking “Where’s your head at?” we’re helping young people take back control of where their future is going.
